I used the kit from Lynn Grieveson and Rachel Jefferies called Hear My Voice and Heal. From Lynne Marie I used Scripted Masks Mask 1.
I go into more detail about our trip to Carlsbad, CA. Taking my mother-in-law to her family reunion. It was the last time she saw her brothers and sadly, now, she doesn't speak at all and doesn't know any of us. It's heartbreaking.
I so much appreciate your journaling the story (the added details that photos alone cannot tell. Glad you salvaged a bit of humor out of a heartbreaking time.
@ArmyGrl Thank you very much. We did laugh when we heard her angry messages but if I recall correctly, my sister in law was here feeding the cats and she heard it and called Bill to tell him. @Angela Toucan Thank you so much. @Trish I love California, I could wander around taking photos all day. Thank you. Alzheimer's is a cruel disease. @flowersgal Thank you, I generally find humor to be how I deal with stress.
@LynnG Thank you. It's a disgusting disease that you can't fight. She's still here but she's not here. Sigh. @ajm Thank you, I want to remember her like this now because we barely recognize her now. This disease is a hateful thing.
Big hugs! I have done a lot of personal research on dementia and Alzheimers and really hope we continue to make headway on treatment to stall and/or prevent it. That's funny about the voicemails, I'm glad you got a good laugh out of it. Anyway, thank you so much for playing along with my challenge
