The journaling reads:
Years ago, I was in to beading and making jewelry. It started off with her making mother’s bracelets for the moms on Baleigh’s birth board. From there, I decided to offer my services online, but needed a name for people to reference. I asked on our birth board and a bunch of moms suggested a play on words from Peter Pan since my name is Wendy. They suggested Never Land and then said to add some sort of bead reference to the name. I settled on Neverland Beadery and opened shop. During that time I discovered digiscrap and other message boards. I didn’t want to be associated with my husband’s username and took to a new name using the Neverland reference. I dropped the beadery and added scraps because that’s what I was doing--scrapbooking. A couple months later I was offering freebies on the Arts & Crafts message board when I was approached to sell my designs in her store. I was excited that someone wanted my products in their store. They asked me if I wanted to change my names to Neverland Designs, but I decided since scrapbooking was my hobby, I’d keep the scraps to my name. Many years later, people all over digiland know of me through my username, Neverland Scraps. I’ve had this name since 2005 when I decided to step away from Daddy’s username and become my own individual online. For the past few years my avatar has been “I’m so much cooler online” which is so true! Neverland Scraps is cool!
