To explain, my new use of "hecky darn" is from a woman who "snarks" on General Hospital and uses that phrase all the time. I like it so I use now too.
More importantly, HOW THE HECKY DARN DID A BABY SNAKE GET IN MY BASEMENT?
Sorry, I was yelling. It was so darned cute. Poor thing was all balled up and finally relaxed when I got it outside, it unfurled, and I set it free underneath the giant Hosta plants. Have fun storming the castle, little buddy! (ha, I'd be curled up in a ball if I was covered in cat spit too.) More ha, hey, Fredd? What does baby snake taste like? Is it chicken?
@Kiana Thank you so much, I snort laughed when I read your comment. I've always been like this, it was so little, I needed to rescue it. I love almost all of God's creatures. I probably would have grabbed it if it was bigger too. I mean, if it bit me, fine, but if it bit the cat, that's a $400.00 vet bill. Lol. @dawnmarch Thank you, right, I have been inspecting the outside and inside. How did you get here, little friend? @ajm Thank you. I am glad I don't have worrisome snakes near me. Garter snakes are harmless and good for the garden. Garter or Garden snakes, what's in a name? @Karen Thank you. I am still concerned about how it got into the house, but since it's a harmless snake, I'm not too worried. I worry more about vet bills because cats are going to cat. @Lynnette Thanks, I actually carried it all the house to show my husband. He laughed when I told him "no, we aren't keeping it!" I wanna squeeze it, hug it, and name it George!" No! @Smwhite I thought so too until I Googled it. Thank you. Don't get too grossed out, but Garter snakes have a live birth. I'm seeing myself in some sort Indiana Jones scenario, "why'd it have to be snakes?" @scrapchyck Thank you, as I child I used to terrorize my mother with little critters I could catch. I'm a weirdo. Look, Ma! argghhhh. @LynnG Thank you, I don't think you're missing out on anything special without snakes. I'm glad it was a teeny tiny baby. Too cute for me to be afraid of.
You have all made my day!
