We were the last people to board - Mammy was quite embarrassed but it did mean we could just get straight on the plane and take our seats without having to shuffle down the aisle with you both. We quickly put our stuff in the lockers and before we even got settled in the plane was moving. We gave you your bottles straight away and before we were even fully in the air you were both sound asleep.
I was really nervous about how you would both handle the flight. Turns out I had needn’t have worried. You slept the whole way through. The only thing that did upset me was not being able to sit with you both because of the regulations of having infants in different rows. Emilia was more than happy siting with Gigi but I’m not going to lie, I felt like a part of me was missing.
Part way through the flight Auntie Kayleigh came and sat with me. Evelyn was burning up, so we laid her across our knees to try and cool her down. But apart from that the flight went smoothly. The part I had been most worried about was over and with no crying, no drama and no issues. It was a real load off my mind and meant I could just start to focus on all the fun we were going to have over the coming days. Disneyland Paris, we’re coming for you!
OOh, such an uneventful flight with the littlies, that makes for a wonderful holiday.
I feel for them when their ears hurt on the take-offs and landing.
Well done on coping so smoothly Mommy. You're a pro!
