OMG a mosquito?! As if they weren't a nuisance as it is, to interrupt your surgery is just cruel! I'm so sorry you're going through this. Wishing you a speedy recovery! (Hopefully you're back up on your feet now since it's been a few months!)
Oh Dawn!!!!! so sorry to hear!!! not sure you know but my health troubles all come from the fact that a supposed top be routine hip replacement went terribly wrong and 3 or 4 operations that followed failed to fix the initial error....so I know everything about delays in hospitals, but you guys at least grace the power to relatively choose where you go... (now I m thinking about it, am not sure in which country you are, I ws assuming it is the US, but I maybe wrong) here health service is free for all, and the choi9ces we have are very very limited... anyway, hope, like Kendra well said, that you are much much better now and in the way total recovery!!!!! Huge huggzzz!!!!!!
@kendrawalter@MrsPeel Thank you! It helps to scrap this whole experience because it makes it seem more like past history, even though it was only a couple months ago. After 6 weeks in a wheelchair, I am up and walking although slow and still limping. Often using a cane. And, isn't that mosquito story crazy? I was unconscious the whole time but my hubby was really starting to get worried at how long the surgery was taking!
Cynthia, I did not know that -- that's awful! My physical therapist is often telling me stories of surgeries and recoveries gone wrong. I am in the US and did have a choice of hospitals although the ambulance companies often take you to whatever hospital is closest for an emergency. They took me a little further this time to the trauma hospital which I assume was a good choice but I wasn't really in a position to have much input. We are fortunate to have good insurance and good hospitals.
