@bestcee So far so good with Beauty Box! She's very new to make-up and there's no way I could justify spending $10+ on one item that she may or may not like. So $10 per month for a box of samples is great! Last month, she got a full sized product and two make-up brushes in her box (along with some sample sized items). This month is supposed to have a full sized eyeshadow! We're also trying Sephora Play which gives you a card each month that you take to the store to get a tutorial on how to use each of the products. We probably won't keep the subscriptions long, but it's a fun kick-start!
Hmmm...Sephora Play sounds like a nice treat for my granddaughters. I had one of those box subscriptions for a bit, and they got everything I didn't like. They really liked the monthly donations!
@bestcee and @cookingmylife Clara's first Sephora Play box should be here tomorrow... I'll let you know what we think of it. I'm not sure I'd ever want a subscription for myself, but for a teen just starting out, it's been pretty fun. Only one real bust in her beauty box this month (a mitt for applying self tanner), and the rest of the items were worth the $10 (a full sized eyeshadow in a neutral color, brow pencil, rose gold tweezers and an eyeshadow brush).
Got to get this JJ kit! Too fun! My 8th grade dancer LOVES make up! I am definitely interested in hearing which of the two options you preferred - Beauty Box vs. Play!. I think this would be an awesome present for her 14th birthday in September.
