JOURNALING: webchyck was born out of a mom's desire to document the lives of her young family. She had purchased her first computer in 1995 and developed a love for all things techy. By the early 2000s she was paper scrapping and using her computer to type up journaling and make some cards, but she knew there must be so much more the computer could do! In late 2004 she stumbled across a magazine that mentioned DIGITAL scrapbooking. WHAT?!?! Could this be the convergence she had longed for! Oh, indeed it was! From the first rudimentary attempts with a simple program to full on immersion in Photoshop, webchyck thrived. She found her people online in a variety of communities who nurtured her hobby and gave her days purpose and joy. She got published, she went to real life crops with friends, she ran a creative team inspiring others to use their computers for memory keeping. She finally felt good at something. Then life happened, and though webchyck is still her email persona, it is no longer her online nom de plume. She has evolved into scrapchyck, and that is ok. But we will always hold a special place in our heart for the origin story of webchyck.
I love everything about this page. The diagonal flow with your photo. That perfectly placed web. I adore your journaling. These are the things we need to keep, great stories. That alpha is obviously perfection, as is that border.
I love that alpha, too! It is customizable! The webs between the parts of a letter are choices you get to make! I had so much fun figuring out which webs to put where!
