This layout required the use of wavy shapes (challenge outside TLP). This isn’t a shape I normally use in my layouts…even when I’m doing layouts with the beach….it was a little bit of a challenge initially as it didn’t fit my style….so I opted to make it more my style with my interpretation…I love mixed media layouts and that is the exact approach that I took. This is my first time creating wavy layers like this using watercolor brush. At my first pass at doing a layout this way….I’m happy with the results and even happier that this opens up different creative opportunities. That’s what challenges are, right? Something to push us outside our comfort zone? Stretch our thinking and perspective?
You hit the nail the head...the best thing about challenges (and art journaling, mixed media) is the creative process that opens new doors. Much love for the fun pice of art you created....it screams summer meadow to me, a place I'd like to be.
@mywisecrafts ...I'm With You On The Humidity!...It Is Stifling Here Too!...It Was 40 Degrees Here Today With The Humidex!......But The Happy Bright! & Sunny Meadow You Created Here...Makes My Happy Too!...Looks Like A Beautiful! Fresh! Spring Day!...Sans Humidity Of Course!...
