The Wisconsin State Historical Society had a very good sale on their memberships in ‘December of 2018. I grabbed a subscription for Rich and for Scott. With the membership there were many historical sites also very pretty. It was such an unexpected surprise.
We all enjoy going on road trips, so it was a fun day. It was definitely worth going, but to be totally honest the house tour was not one of the best we have seen. The Hearthstone House in Appleton was the first electrified house. That was a beautiful home although it did not have air conditioning and the day we were there it was over 100 degrees.
What makes the tour of Black Point worthwhile is that Scott and Tia enjoyed the trip. They don’t feel it is a waste of time going to see history. It will even be more fun now that we have Sweet GG to take along on future tours. They want to start her young on road trips and proper restaurant etiquette. It’s fun to remember but also to dream of the future especially during the time of Covid.
you could tour. Little did we know that Tia and Scott would be expecting their first baby in 2019. We did not get to do as many road trips as I thought we would. We did get to go to Black Point in Lake Geneva. The usual way to get to the house is by boat but we did not want to be that far away from our car in case Tia felt sick. We called them and we were able to park right by the house.
None of us had been to Lake Geneva before so we drove around before going to Black Point. Rich and I always made a point of eating Egg Harbor Restaurant when we would take a road trip to Rockford. We did drive past Egg Harbor in Lake Geneva, but the waiting line spilled outside. We didn’t have time to wait so we drove to The Geneva Inn. The breakfast we got was phenomenal. it was huge and very tasty. The view of the lake was
