Dad & Mom , I know you are
struggling, fighting this Goliath which
threatens to divide you.
A life together of over 65 years
seems to be unraveling but you are
eternally joined together and love never fails
even when our minds slip and our bodies sigh.
I know you're both are trying so hard.
I know there are words unspoken. I also
know the God you introduced me to.
Mom, you are like a sunflower trying to
lift your heavy head to find the Son.
But right now, just knowing HE has you
in His hands is what you must cling to.
And Dad, my Rock, my Compass, my
Lighthouse, I know you are wishing for those
days when you led the ministry, felt useful,
and were the mighty “Pepperpot” on the court!
I can only try to imagine how a man must feel
in this situation. But you DO have value,
you do have worth! You are still strong!
You are the one who taught us girls how
to live, and Mom, you taught us how to love.
So I pray the Serenity prayer and wipe the tears,
knowing that He sees you. & He loves you more than I do.
He is there.

      I'm in tears here, I don't think you had the journaling before? I also was sure I had commented, but maybe because I replied in the thread, about the fight for the illness..... I feel particularly when you talk to your dad.... mine was broken when he had to retire ,....he was always a big time scientist and worked hard, and the last few months were breaking point.... anyway, I ll come back w3ith time for your gallery catch up, but this is beautiful, in case I did not say, ( am glad this filled a purpose at least of putting the words, the feeling out here....thanks so much for sharing!!!!!Thanks you so much for playing with us!!!
