Congratulations on the well-deserved GSO. Your heartfelt journaling is powerful. You are a talented and valuable woman. Stand in front of the mirror, look yourself in the eye and repeat this to yourself everyday... or many times a day until it sinks deep into your heart and mind.
I'm with Maureen... this is a beautiful layout, but the journaling just breaks my heart. You tell than inner voice of yours to shut up! I obviously don't know you in person, but you are incredibly talented and a gifted layout artist. So just based on that fact alone you ARE interesting and talented. And also... I think we all have that inner critic that whispers we aren't good enough... you need to feed the other side and remind yourself of all the things that make you unique and wonderful. Start with this GSO award!
I adore your transparency, its raw and eye opening. I think many people understand how you feel - more than you think. I just want to say I'm so sorry that you have felt this way for so long. I'm a women's minister, so a lot of the women I speak with have identity issues. So, I hope I don't cross a line here, but God adores you and I'd hang out with you cuz I like deep people
This is a beautiful page, but I'm so sad about the powerful yet heartbreaking journaling. You are worthwhile and worth it and I wanted to let you know that. Congrats on the GSO, this is so well-deserved.
First of all...your page is awesome...and well deserving of the GSO. Secondly...your journaling breaks my heart. Like others have said before, I don't believe that you are alone in your thoughts...but I have learned through counseling for my daughter that you have to shut out that dark side and feed the good side. You are amazing and creative and deserving of happiness...and you just need to keep saying that to yourself!! <3
Congratulations on the GSO - very well deserved! Your page is beautiful from the photo treatment to the mix of colors and patterns to those repeated hexagons. But your sincere and vulnerable journaling is the prize. I'm so sad to hear how you feel about yourself. So often we are our own worst critic. I remember scolding my kids once about how they were speaking to each other and asked them if they would say that to anyone of their classmates or a stranger and of course the answer was no. So I asked them why they would be so rude/mean to the other. I doubt you would be so hard on anyone else. Maybe that's how to change about the self-love - treat yourself like a stranger and get to know yourself again without the criticism. Challenge yourself to find 3 things to praise yourself on each day. You deserve the grace (((HUGS)))
Congratulations on the GSO Suzanne.. I love the composition and the colors of your page, and you are so beautiful. I love the black and white of you... you radiate light and I am sorry you are feeling so low and vulnerable right now. I remember a very dark period I had for a bit, and it is all consuming and not a pleasant space to be in. Mine was menopausal which really knocked me down, but there is light and it turned around. Please look in the mirror and see the beautiful person you are. You ARE deserving, and the people who say they are friends, if they leave, they really weren't friends in the first place. You deserve to be happy... you are creative .. look for the positive things everyday and keep that as your focus. Listen to music that makes you happy and start surrounding yourself with happiness. With all the positivity surrounding you, there is no room for anything else. Sending big hugs to you!!
Congrats on your GSO!!! Love this layout. The hexagons are so pretty with the soft colours you used. You have laid yourself bare with your from the heart journaling. I'm sorry that you feel this way. You are deserving, and I hope you can find a way through this and learn to truly value yourself as other people do.
