It was a pretty crappy week around our house. I came back from Philadelphia with a nasty cold and promptly passed it on to Doug. It started with a sore throat and congestion, then moved into a lungs-full-of-mucus stage before wrapping up with several days of bone-deep fatigue. I had to do half-days at work most of the week, and the whole thing took about 8 days to completely run its course. Durng that time, my bedside table was filled with medicines, cough drops, half-finished cups of herbal tea, and all the other paraphenalia of feeling yucky. I read three Inspector Thanet novels and stayed way too current with all the political news. Thank goodness we are both on the mend today! April 20, 2018
