Dear Kristin,
this is what I want for you in 2018: Don't forget about the morning walks.
It's like in Wear Sunscreen by Mary Schmich: Forget everything else, but trust me on the sunscreen ...
This is like that.
Change everything else, but don't forget your morning walks.
You don't have to go outside every day. It's not about that: it's not for exercise, and you don't need to make it a habit for every day. But if too many days pass without fresh morning air in your lungs, and time spent among trees, you'll forget things about yourself.
If you take that time, to go outside, move your body, breathe and let your thoughts wander, you’ll remember: You'll remember that you are strong enough to handle everything that comes your way, with the help of your loved ones; you’ll remember how very much your loved ones love you, to what extent they are there for you. You’ll remember that feelings are not dangerous, that everything will be allright, and that there is time. You’ll remember your enourmous courage and capacity to love.
