Sunday's message was close to home. The past two years have been pretty difficult due to a loved one being in a deep depression. The disappointments were allowed to become --> dis-couragement, and then led to -->depression. When you believe the lie that God is not listening, you can also believe He is no longer speaking to you. Everything becomes noise. You don't recognize His voice anymore. You can sink even deeper into the lie. When you tune Him out- even for a short time, as King David did with the temptation of Bathsheba, you are removing your crown. As children of The King, we can be sure He IS attentive and even if we don't understand His method in the moment, we can trust His heart and begin to learn His ways. Worship and an open heart can be a crown of glory upon our heads...
