For a child, the day of his birthday is a super important moment. There are of course the gifts, the birthday cake, the candles to blow but I will rather remember this kind of tradition that my parents had when I was small: a great walk with the family. Dad always took a day off and he and Mom decided where to go. Thus we visited some corners of France like the Puy de Dôme (several times) or the forest of Louviers near Rouen. It was for my five years that we left in this forest. Unfortunately, I do not have many memories because I was too young, but going on a family trip on my birthday (and that of my brother) has remained in my memory.
