"As it was winter when we moved into the Collie house we had thought the huge tree was just going to get new leaves in spring, no its DEAD. Disappointing but it happens. A limb hit the patio and then a couple weeks later an even bigger limb crashed down. Lucky the kids were not around at the time. It took Geoff ages to cut it up with the chain saw. It had to be cut down NOW before more serious damaged happened. We got a tree lopper in and he scaled the tree and found out it was going to cork. He said it was the scariest drop he had ever done. $2500 later we had a stump that I want to wrap in lights and ivy. I got Brad to take another limb off the I got the kids up the ladder to paint the stumps so it will stop rain rotting it out. The Kids were happy with their reward of waffles. We have decided now the tree is down we will put in a Vegetable Garden, another project that needs to get underway."
