For the Day One Prompt, Grow With Love: Self Portrait at Plant Your Story
journaling reads:
When I let my mind wander back to my childhood, grasping through the fog of faded memories and flashes of moments, my mind always seems to rest on The Where. xoxoxoxo Avenue. xoxoxo town. And a mood of warm nostalgia crashes over me in waves like splashes of sun. Images of tree-lined streets, the dappled shadows of the sun on the sidewalks. The green. The staying out until sunset. The ding of the Carpenter's bell signaling it was time to come in for dinner. The houses in tight rows. the walks home from school. The games of wiffle ball on the driveway...that sense of warm fun and innocence that stil feels like a hug every time I come home and see those tree-lined streets. Those feelings stand tall and strong in my memory like the Elm Trees that define my hometown.
