Oh, wow. Those kinds of conversations are just the best. So rich and full of all the important things: laughs, seriousness, and storytelling. That's wonderful. And I love the page. Great pictures and the background paper seems to have its own symbolism (to me anyway). Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your comment, which brings a big smile to my face. I've always loved storytelling and connections. My father and some of my uncles were masters. As a child, I loved listening to them talk when conversation would turn to storytelling.
BTW, this response was interrupted to add a few words about a possible future layout to my Trello list.

Yes, they are the best. I didn't want to overwhelm the page with words since this page surely has enough emotion and heaviness. Choosing how much space to give to each "episode" (if you will) and which to include was the hardest part of journaling for this layout. The laughter (with a woman whose name I'm not sure about right now) about the new library return system would have taken too much space to include even though it was also funny. If one hasn't dropped the wrong book into the, possibly wrong return bin, one neither visits libraries often enough or doesn't have access to at least two wonderful county library systems or maybe simply isn't being honest. There must be a layout in that one by itself.
I'm so happy you saw symbolism in the background paper I put together with a few pocket cards and lots of patterned paper. I was trying to create interest without overwhelming and support moments of seriousness, laughter, and connection in that part of my page. Thanks for providing me the opportunity to count that, mostly instinct, as a win.
