Today we took a day trip to the hills of Tivoli, home to two UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Renaissance palace of Villa d'Este, known for its extravagant gardens and fountains, and the ruins of Hadrian's Villa (Villa Adriana), the grand 2nd century estate of Emperor Hadrian of ancient Rome. We met Nicom Tours at 9:10am. Our bus took us for about 45 minutes east of Rome through suburbs then into the country. It was very interesting to see the parts of the city off the tourist circuit. Tivoli is beautiful!
Oh wow, so gorgeous! Love how you got the beautiful countryside into your family selfie. Y'all look so happy, which makes sense with views like that! How cool you were able to see some historic local sites, and the soft colors of your page are just right for Tivoli's beauty!
