I love your fun title Electra and your story too! My son locked me out once but thankfully never again! I love all the yellow with the complementary purple on your page. The pops of red are fun too!
This is adorable! What wonderful recording of that story, and I love your colours. (When I was locked out in the backyard once, with my eldest alone inside in bed, I had to climb over the very high fence and then walk through the neighbours' house. They were very ...strange ... so I just knocked, opened the back door, said 'sorry' and walked through without stopping as they just stared at me!!).
Oh my! Your poor mom! I'm sure she was totally frustrated with you, but I can't help breaking out into a smile. LOL! I love that look on the little girl, the ephemera you chose. Just perfect!
That story is worth retelling again and again. After all, what child wouldn't be confused with mom telling her to throw her eggs on the floor. What an adventure. Love the yellow dress little girl you chose for your illustration and the cheerful colors of your layout.
