Oct 4th, 2021 will go down in history as one of the worst days of my life and probably yours as well. It was only about less than a week earlier that you called me with the exciting news I was going to be a grandmother. Three pregnancy tests confirmed you indeed were pregnant with my very first grandchild. How excited you were. We made an appointment for your first prenatal appointment and an ultrasound to find out how far along you were. I had taken off work that day to take you in. We were both counting down the days. But than the unspeakable happened. We spent the morning together on Monday morning and you were complaining of horrible cramps. We ran some errands when you noticed you were spotting. Being the concerned mother I am, I knew in my heart something was wrong. I took you to the local urgent care where we spent over four hours. Blood work, peeing in a cup, an ultrasound and an exam all confirmed our worst nightmare. You had lost the baby. Waves of sadness and a sea of tears filled the room as I held your hand as they preformed a D and C . The night was filled with unanswered questions and an emotional roller costar of emotions. The worst pain a mother could experince, loosing a child and here I was holding my daughter as she lost hers.

      So sorry you both had to go through this. Thank you for sharing. I love your heartfelt layout with all these shadows reminding us of what was lost. Miscarriages are hearbreaking... I was devastated when it happend to me. But it all turned out fine in the end. Hopefully, you will get to hold your grandchild soon.

      So sorry your daughter had to go through this, and you had to watch her pain. My mum was by my side twice as it happened to me. It is heartbreaking. Thank you for sharing, and creating such a heartfelt LO which is beautifully raw. You can feel the emotion and pain in the LO. Remember rainbows come after the rain, and hopefully, your daughter will get her rainbow baby x
