journaling: Anyone who knows me... everyone who knows me... knows of my love of The Willy Nilly Silly Old Bear. I’ve loved him my entire life. But as an adult, my “why” for loving him is so different from as a child. As a child, it was his softness, his playfulness, his sweetness. But as an adult, especially after reading The Tao of Pooh, my love for Winnie the Pooh has deepened. This character embodies how I want to be in life. Author Benjamin Hoff has so many insightful things in this book. One of my favorite quotes that I try to live my life by is: “The honey doesn't taste so good once it is being eaten; the goal doesn't mean so much once it is reached; the reward is no so rewarding once it has been given. If we add up all the rewards in our lives, we won't have very much. But if we add up the spaces *between* the rewards, we'll come up with quite a bit. And if we add up the rewards *and* the spaces, then we'll have everything - every minute of the time that we spent.” I try to appreciate everything, the good, the bad, the process and the outcome.
What a great page for this challenge! I love that you were able to scrap Pooh for MOC. I also love your ombré title and how you used two big rectangles as the base for your page.
Beautiful page! I had not heard of this book before but definitely want to check it out. So many little nuggets of wisdom came out of the hundred acre wood!
