My family had a German Shepherd, Baron, that died shortly before I was born. I was jealous of my brothers, who fondly remembered Baron even though they were quite young. I begged throughout my childhood for a dog, but my parents insisted they would never get another dog because no one could ever live up to Baron. About a month after I moved away for college, my mother adopted a Scotty-Chihuahua mix and named him Chili Mac. I have still never had a dog to this day!
