One Little Bird: Westover; Narrative
Journaling reads:
really, its the story of a lot of days. neither one of you have ever been “trained” as a hunting dog, but there really is truth to the saying that everything is instinctive. any time we go to a park with big bushes or a lot of brush, your first thought is to head straight to the first bush you see and shove your nose (or whole body) right into the bottom of the bush to see if any birds are hiding inside. there usually is, and before long you’ve flushed them out just like any good hunting dog would. the point just comes naturally to both of you and i love it when i can capture a perfect point from you. to me, there’s nothing more gasp-worthy than a photo of you with your paw up, tail out, nose in the air, and that look on your face that says, “look! look over here, they’re in here! i found them!” if a dog can feel pride, you both get so much excitement out of finding and flushing any bird you see.
