The Scary Fight Against Cancer

Life is wee bit stressful here, which is basically what everyone is going through but add to this, my mom is going through chemo for a second time of having breast cancer at 84. We're in the home stretch now and surgery will soon next month. I've always been a an avid fundraiser for many charities, Relay for Life is a favorite. I did this fundraiser with the New York Islanders. It was a walk and then the game. I was shocked when they called out my name to let me know that I raised enough money to stand in the tunnel when the players come out and get high fives. The best part is that some of the players recognize us from their AHL playing days and charity work we did with them. We aren't friends, I hate that when people act like that. It's name dropping.
