Oh Tiff! Holy smokes, and that last line makes it seem so sad. Hugs, lady! It's the area... we are in an expensive state, with an easy commute to NYC but goodness... nothing like that. My house is super tiny, but if we moved south or West a big, we would get triple the house! "A small home will hold as much happiness as a big home"

@Tiff OK! Knowing that you mean it that way totally makes reading it different. I get it.. but then I want you to realize this dream earlier than in your 80's, lol! That's all!

I feel your pain! We live in the Bay Area too and our rent was just increased. We are finally looking into buying a home, but....it is expensive!

Oh I love that you went photo less here, love your use of pattern, and I love your use of the BIG numbers here. It echoes that feeling of the BIG weight of your living expenses. Which, incidentally I wish you didn't have to carry as so heavy a concern. Still, this is an element of our stories worth sharing. And one of those aspects that makes me happy our lives aren't only about The Numbers. So well scrapped and documented!
