JOURNALING:
Looking back
On the memory of
The dance we shared
'Neath the stars above
For a moment
All the world was right
But how could I have known
That you'd ever say goodbye
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end
The way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could have missed the pain
But I'd have had to miss the dance

So long ago.
I met someone with whom I had an instant connection.
And, we danced.
But, it didn’t last.
And then, he died.
1989: Garth Brooks released “The Dance.”
That said it all.

CREDITS: SONG LYRICS: from "The Dance" by Tony Arata; KITS: "You Give Me Wings" by Rachel Jefferies; "Blithesome" by Ninigoesdigi; FONTS: Morning Sunbeam; Plasma Drip; Arial
I really like the blue & black color combo. What a bittersweet memory associated with the song. Thank you for sharing the story.

Very powerful page. I LOVE how you've changed the font with the change in the feeling of the lyrics. Sad story, beautifully illustrated.
