For the February Journaling Challenge: Even though I didn't make it specially for the Challenge, when I was almost finished, I wanted to use the metal number 2, but unless I am scrapping a special day, date, trip, event, stuff in my page needs to have a meaning... I thought about including a picture of the two of us but it was late, so, just like that, it came to my mind the lines for the chorus of a song, and it did fit so perfectly!!! The phrase, here in red, is the last part of the chorus, I write the beginning next to it, in black.
The song's lyrics are a poem by an Uruguayan poet, Mario Benedetti. The whole song talks about lovers love, couple, married people, which of course wont fit here as Sarita is my daughter, but the meaning of the chorus I always thought fits so well with us....
"Si te quiero es porque sos, ni amor, mi complice y todo,
y en la calle, codo a codo, somos mucho mas que dos"
which means:
"If I love you is because you are my love, my accomplice & everything, and in the streets, elbow with elbow, we are so much more than two"
So happy this developed like this for the Challenge!!!
