JOURNALING: Since I was visiting my sister, Karon, a few weeks after our mother had passed away, we decided to conduct a little memorial service at her gravesite. So, we decorated some Dia de los Muertos skulls, recorded some music she liked and went to the cemetery on November 4, 2018. It was a beautiful, crisp fall day. We laid the skulls on her grave marker and turned my phone on to songs by her favorite group, Phil Dirt and the Dozers. She used to get up and dance when they performed at events so we thought she would approve of our little ceremony. It was nice; the Canada Geese approved <VBG>.
