Description:
A friend at church is an active member of the Tigers fanclub. He told me about their charity teddy toss to collect stuffed toys for the Children’s Hospice and Hospital for children needing medical care over Christmas time.
Fans, and players from both teams and local businesses donated bears at a special game and tossed them onto the ice wrapped in plastic film during ½ time. It was a fantastic idea.
Little did I realise that nurses would be giving some to my children when we needed to go to diabetes clinic that week.
