This is a very cool H! I love the page split and how you made the big letter a part of your title.

Thank you. I found these alphas in my stash and immediately thought of using a photo like this one (with more detail than I want to feature) behind the vellum.

As long as I lived in Portland, I don't think I ever visited the Heathman. Great way to feature the inside of the place with the vellum H.

The Heathman has been a fixture in Portland for years. Years ago, I met applicants there for breakfast before they set out on their "visit all the places" interviews. They loved it. I loved the salmon hash. Hah, another layout idea. Maybe more of them than I suspected recognized it as a Fifty Shades of Grey location?!?

Fantastic layout. Love the photo inside the letter and the half and half design.
Thank you. It was a great letter for this layout. I found this photo a few days ago during daily photo triage so it was top of mind for a story. The concept came quickly, the execution took a bit longer.

I guess I was out of the loop on that use of the venue! I just remember walking by it all the time and wishing I could go inside.

the H frame is serving double duty here and that's such a great idea - the rest of the title overlapping it is the perfect addition to really sandwich it (tea and sandwiches sound like high-tea to me so that's pretty perfect!
