I’ve always been a bit of a mega geek. Ever since I was a little girl I wore think glasses, till I was about 23 years old and my eye sight was fixed by eye surgery. I worked extremely hard in school to achieve at my studies. I enjoyed English classes a little too much and actually took 6 English classes my senior year of high school just for fun as I was over the credits needed for graduation. It was my dream to become an English teacher or an orthodontist. I even spent my spare time tutoring others in English skills or Spanish. I was on the newspaper staff and president of the Spanish club for two years in a roll. March of my junior year I spent in Spain as an exchange student in Spain and the summer before I spent two months in Costa Rica and absolutely loved it. I speak quite a few languages fluently such as Spanish, Lakota Sioux and American Sign Language. I have always been quite into anime. I love wearing 80’s tee shirts and I will continue to wear pig tails at 50! I was on the school’s color guard and twirled a flag. And to add to the geeky I was in more plays in the Drama Club then one can count! I had very few friends and those I did have became more like family to me. We did dorky things like tipping over potra potties for fun or going to a friend’s farm and tipping cows. I taught myself HTML, java and CSS when I was only 14 years old and created my own webpage. By the time I was a senior I was running my own mini-web design company from the basement of my parents’ house for spare cash. By the time I got older and got married I was still pretty darn geeky. Years later here I am today I am still a mega geek and quite proud!  I am still into web design, I still wear piggy tails, I still am into anime, I am dating a bigger geek then myself, I have built my own computer in past, and well I am still considered pretty darn right nerdy by peers. But I have gained a lot of self confidence since my younger years. I do not let the names get to me. I do not let others put me down. I am extremely comfortable in my geeky skin.
