OK, so it isn't that much lf a "tale" but that's ok. I came across the shy heron first: it was setting there looking around when I first spotted it, but in the few seconds it took me to get my camera aimed and focused, it had ducked its head, as though it were camera shy. A little while later I saw the other one flying, and then it landed on the branch, looked my way for a second & then turned away and froze, as if to say "Will you just come on and take the picture already?". It was almost as if they were having an "Opposites Day".

oooh - i love reading what you had to say about this page - very cool little story! and i can totally see the different personalities of the birds in the pics! and i loooove the clusters you did - the shadowing is great and the different types of leaves really work well together.
Love your take on the challenge - so interesting reading about the interactions you had with the different herons. The photos are beautiful and I love your clusters.
