Journaling: This splendid book is a scrapbook. It is not a scrapbook I made though. It was given to us, specifically Ghabriel. This scrapbook was made by some wonderfully generous people through Crops of Luv. Crops of Luv is a charity that takes photos and memorabilia from a Make A Wish trip and makes it into a scrapbook for the Wish Kid. Now, I can scrapbook the stories myself and have (and am, cause I’m not even close to done), but these lovely people (ladies I assume, but I don’t know for sure) WANT to do this…so I signed up and got it ready to go. All I had to do was sign up and be accepted, which was easy. Then I had to send them 50 photos and any memorabilia. It was hard to pare it down to 50!! This book is 20 pages of our photos and memories, prepared by people who often scrap these. This means we got some AMAZING paper pieced pages! This means that we got lots of characters and gorgeous embellishments. Our trip comes alive in these pages! Dominick’s favorite set of pages are the Simpson pages and Ghabe loves the swimming pages. I know this is not how I would scrapbook this trip….but it’s a stunning book of amazing memories. I can still scrap how I want, this book doesn’t take anything away from me, but it adds such a element of love to our trip. THe love of the strangers who put their hearts into the pages.
