Summer 2014.
The first time you had ever been to the beach. You were so afraid of the ocean water. The waves were just too much for you. We even took you out into the water in our arms where the water didn't touch you. You were satisfied with sitting on the edge of the water to play. Your favorite part was picking up the "little dudes" from out of the sand. It was funny to watch you try to catch them before they could bury back in the sand. You were so cute. I don’t ever want to forget the look on your face when you caught the first one. You wanted to keep them and save them as pets. Every beach we went to for the next week and a half you sat down and started to look for your little friends. No matter what we did that was all you wanted to do. Wait for the edge of the waves to flow around you so you could catch the little ocean creatures you loved.

This is so sweet. Love the photo of her exploring the creatures in the sand and water. And love the chevrons that point down through the photo to the journaling. Wonderful page!
