Created for September Inspiration Challenge - be inspired by your senses. I was inspired by the challenge itself to create a layout inspired by my sense of smell and touch. Thank you for looking. The journaling reads:
The first thing you notice is the air. It is all around you, moving constantly and stretching as far as the eye can see. It ruffles your hair and fills your nostrils with the unmistakable feel of the Atlantic. It tastes of salt and smells of barnacles. And it's cold. Very, very cold. It envelopes you in its icy embrace and makes you shiver. It slaps your cheeks furiously and makes your teeth hurt. It is fresh and crisp and unforgiving. But above it all, it is the indelible part of this rugged landscape...
Without the kids or husbands, agreeing on what to do and where to go is easy. So we drove to Doolin and took the ferry to Inisheer, the closest of the islands. The sea was rough and the 15-minute journey took twice as long.
I loved learning about the air from your descriptive journaling! I also love the big beautiful photo with the smaller ones around it. Thanks for joining this month’s Inspiration Challenge!
