Spatchcocking a Turkey

Description
I'm curious. When you make pocket-page style layouts, do you do much in the way of embellishing them? Everything I tried to add to this page didn't seem to work, so I left it pretty bare.

Elif Sahlin - Thankful Papers and Elements
I've always wondered about spatchcocking a turkey. Was it hard?

To answer your question about embellishing pocket layouts, @Rachel Jefferies has some fully loaded pocket scrapping templates that do all the work for you. You can also use the loaded templates as a guide and replace the elements on the templates with ones from the kit you're using. Here's one of many of the templates she offers in her signature kit line.

Her most recent signature kits have the loaded templates included - pocket art signature kit 13.

And the best part is that they are included in this week's summer school sale! :agree

@keepscrappin cutting out the backbone was the hardest part, but overall it was pretty straightforward. The skin came out super crispy and delicious too!

Thanks for the template recommendations. I didn't use a template on this one. That probably would have helped a lot!

I have never heard the term spatchcocking so looked it up, I learned something new! Love the photos documenting the process and the picture of the finished turkey looks so yummy! I think the page looks great as is, no need for additional embellishments!
