I love decorating for Christmas, but I have been doing it along time and I just have too many decorations that I love. A few years ago, as I was looking at my décor, I noticed that I had a bunch of snowmen. I had an idea that I would take out all my snowmen and snow type décor and save it for January. I live in Las Vegas, but I’m from Eastern Oregon and grew up with four seasons and winter was always one of my favorite. I don’t get winter or snow much in Vegas, so decorating my house in January with “Snow” seemed like the perfect solution to me! I love it and it makes me happy. I decided to go with a blue/silver theme for the month and still use typical holiday fillers like ornaments and garland. I really look forward to January now and it makes my heart happy to experience “winter” in Las Vegas. I also feel like it makes my snowmen shine as they are not having to compete with Santa’s and reindeer and nutcrackers etc. They get their own month to be front and center!
How wonderful Kim to have a snow theme for warm Las Vegas in January!! I understand that perfectly as when Dad lived in Florida it was warmer than NY My parents moved in the week before Christmas and it was 97 outside and to use the fireplace they jacked the temp on the AC just to make it cold in the house to have a fire in the fireplace! I love all the blue, white and silver theme here.. so very cheery Great elements, beautiful photos of your decorations and papers! Lovely page!
