When you take the sports course at Gausdal High School - even if you have chosen football - you also learn about outdoor activities. Dani was on a trip last fall with an overnight stay. Now they were going on a longer trip - two nights and skiing all the way from Skei to Gausdal. It's strange to just send him off like that and hope for the best. I think it sounds scary, but I know nothing about outdoor activities. I think Dani has now slept outside and in a tent more in the last year than I have in my 37 years. It seemed like the trip was good, even though he thought it was a bit much skiing (over 30 miles). I think there are many useful experiences to take with you, and the body and mind benefit from not having the usual schedule and the stress that goes with it, or the phone and digital things available. Disconnect completely and be in the wilderness.
Wow, that IS a lot of skiing but I'm sure something Dani will look back on with pride. What a great experience! I love the soft colors and wonderful layering.
Congrats on your GSO...well-deserved! What an adventure Dani had! Wonderful journaling. I sent my kids off on some adventures and I look back and think that was crazy! But they need that in high school to know they can. Love the vertical orientation!
This is amazing Tine! Congrats on your GSO! I love the photos along with stacked layering. I love the photo of him with his back pack getting ready for his ski adventure. Such a beautiful and masculine page! Beautifully scrapped. While you got a GSO, I also need to give you a Froggy Fav for March for this too! Lovely!
