September Random Challenge (Trunk or Treat)

Description
Last Halloween was the first time we'd ever heard of "Trunk or Treat" before. One of the churches, downtown, held it in their parking lot last year, so we decided to take Asher. The trunks of the cars and the beds of trucks were all decorated and the owners were passing out candy to all of the kids, who were in their Halloween costumes. They also had all kinds of hot dogs and sloppy joes, chips and drinks. It was so much fun for all of the kids and Asher just loved it! Hopefully, they'll have it again this year. It's a real thing you can google it and there are lots of Pinterest Boards about how to decorate your trunks.

i just had to check the calendar because i thought it must be the start of October already (sometimes it feels like i blink and miss a few weeks at a time!) but nope, you are just keeping me on my toes! great first for the challenge, sounds like it was heaps of fun and i love all the triangles and inky goodness here!

@bellbird LOL Justine - I do the same thing. I have to stop and think "what month is this"? I was trying to think of "a first" and going through my pictures and found these. So glad you like it. Thanks for the morning chuckle. :hehe:hehe

Bianca's elementary school does one, she loves it! I guess now that she moved to middle school she is out! SO SAD!

@Cherylndesigns They are! Plus, they are so much safer specially for little ones. The one's a Bianca's elementary school is mostly the teachers and it's in the teacher's parking lot after WORK hours. They are not allowed to do any halloween stuff at school so this is their way of doing something.

@Dalis When I was researching them (getting ready to do this layout), the safety factor was one of the reasons I kept seeing for having them. This one was quite large and was in a big parking lot at the church. The cars and trucks were all backed in - on both sides and the middle was a big long walkway for all of the kids (and parents) to walk. Everybody had a blast! I can't believe there's even ideas on how to decorate your trunk on Pinterest!

@Cherylndesigns OMG... PAGES AND PAGES OF ideas in Pinterest! We were never able to participate with our own car because Bianca ALWAYS had hockey practice or game half way through it. Poor kiddo ALWAYS went as a HOCKEY player, so she could do it and then we ran out there to the ice rink. LOL!!!!!

@Dalis That's a great costume though, Dalis! Bianca probably didn't think so. When we found out about this last year, none of us had ever heard of it before. I never dreamed it was so popular. Some people really go all out. I have so many good pictures that I might have to do another page.
