Yes - as you go through boxes get rid of what no longer serves you and your hubby. Your new place will feel much better, fresher, and better organized.

P.S. I really like the stairs (I need to rip up some carpet too and I like how the clean stairs look).

The adventure of buying and selling is always full of challenges. So glad you learned lessons that will serve you well in your new home. Now if I would just get motivated to declutter and clear out stuff that no longer serves us! I dread the day we realize that it is time to move on! The new stainless steel appliances look good and probably helped sell the house.

@ArmyGrl Thank you! The stairs were sort of an accident. I was going to stain the treads, but I didn't shake the stain can enough so it was WAY darker than intended. In a panic I just opted to paint everything white, but to be honest, after EVERY showing I had to clean the stairs because they showed shoe treads and dirt so easily, so I'm sort of glad we sold the place and they became someone else's problem

@flowersgal It's a long range goal! More than 3 years later, I still have boxes of stuff I haven't gone through yet so don't feel bad! lol What's worse, I have boxes of stuff I DID decide to part with that are still sitting here waiting for me to actually TAKE to the donation center..
