This is part of a booklet I am making a record of a trilogy, The Secret Spice Cafe, by Patricia V Davis. Here is one made last week, each page will have a journaling-photo-less page to go with.
I "met" Patricia online in 2006 when I was blogging in a fabulous site that no longer exists. She is a North American writer, at that time she had one book published and I read it and became a passionate fan. Everything she writes is amazing, one of the very few writers I have huge pleasure of spending money on. We met in person in 2014 when they came to London with her husband, which made both Sarita and I falling in love even more with both of them...A few years ago she spoke to us about her new venture: a trilogy, a novel, and saying she would like to name the characters, mother & daughter, after us, Cynthia & Sarita. Not only we were delighted but , to me, a source of many many amazing feelings, main being that this was one of the very very few books Sarita has read in her entire life without needed of prompting or pressure (I still can't believe a daughter of mine doesn't like reading....!!!) another reason is, she made me tall and rich, both big time ambitions in my life LOL. Anyway, the first book is called Cooking for Ghosts, the second is Spells and Oregano, and we are waiting for the last installment opf the trilogy. As many of you know, reading long paragraphs of text has become extremely difficult for me in the past 2/3 years, so I am still getting through book 2 and loving as much as I loved Book 1!!! You can get them at Amazon, the setting is aboard of the Queen Mary in California (which I am now so much longing to travel to see!!!) TFL!!!!
WOW! That's so cool that you and Sarita are the characters in the book....you're famous! love how you've used the actual book photo and the book covers from online. AMAZING LAYOUT as usual! LOVE IT!
