It looks like a cormorant to me, we have them sitting on the pontoons, and opening the wings out as if to dry... I love their irridiscent feathers, I think the Brits also call them shags...Love the birds, had to have a closer look, the layout of your page is very appealing, lovelily balanced page.
@zinzilah thank you. if you have a way to watch the video you can hear the bird. it's very interesting. but based on a google image of the name you gave me, it does look like you're right!
