Scraplift June 20 Random Family

Wow, Amanda! I see your journal spot and I love that saying. Is this the family you're estranged from? That journaling always makes me a little bit sad. I have that and still haven't used it. These pictures are wonderful!

@Cherylndesigns Thank you. And, yes. We thought we were near the end of it 3 wks ago, but they won't even facetime. Havent heard from DS in almost 2 weeks and they still won't let us even talk to the GC's. It's now been 10 months. I imagine the two oldest (almost 7, & 4.5) think we have passed. Daughter (top center) is the only one we have a normal relationship with. DIL not pictured here, son is -with his DD. ( I'm dealing with some feelings there). We are leaving town for move out of state in a few weeks. It really feels like goodbye. Unless God...

@AJK Oh, Amanda, I'm just so sorry. My heart breaks for you. I know your heart is breaking and I can't even imagine what you're going through - I'm thinking of you.

@Cherylndesigns Thankyou. I have a much deeper empathy/compassion for people now. Our current culture is way too saturated with "cancelling" people they disagree with or feel hurt by. There is another way- communication, inquiry, forgiveness, compassion, and/or agree to disagree without destruction. We are praying DS &DIL will come to see that they had other options. Even limited time with GC would have been better. This has been traumatic in the true sense of the word, and if you research grandparent estrangement ( we didn't know it existed before this!) you will see it is rampant, and the effects are serious. Broken heart syndrome, anxiety, depression, and cases of suicide. We've gotten an education we didn't ask for, lol.

Amanda! I feel like you gave me a huge hug with this scraplift! We are both standing on the rock of our faith and Savior, and I don't know how, but I do know God Uses ALL things and I am excited to see how HE works the healing in this relationship.
