I don't think it's cowardly at all to hide your journalling under paint. A lot of people have done that. Who wants the world reading about one's own personal, private thoughts?! This is still a lovely page! I love the colours & the word art!
hiding the journaling is perfectly acceptable. the point was to get it OUT, out of you. I don't always want to read some of my old, negative thoughts, but still need to get it out. well-done.
