journaling: Ugh. Science Olympiad. Wyatt was assigned 4 events and then was given zero instruction at school. He built his mouse trap car only to be DQ’d that day because he didn’t know he had to trigger the forward motion with a pencil. Thankfully I was there and showed him how to set the mouse trap and then trigger that with the pencil. I was very frustrated that Wyatt had no direction or help preparing from school. It all seemed like a giant waste of time. I don’t know what they even learned.
