- Journaling reads: "These pictures were taken in the late 1980's. Mom and Dad came up for a visit and we took them to Downtown Detroit to the riverfront. These pictures were taken at Hart Plaza and the map shows an interesting fact: Detroit is actually NORTH of Canada. The top right picture was taken by me on an overpass on I-75 on the way downtown. I loved this scene of the old church perfectly aligned with the sleek modern GM Building. We parked on an overpass and I got out of the car to get this shot."
