I was due with you on New Year’s Eve, 2003, but you had another plan. Miss Bianca Rose, you arrived like a gift sent from Santa two days before Christmas on Dec. 23rd, 2003 after 26 hours of labor that ended in an emergency C-section. With bright blue eyes and a tiny wisp of blonde hair, you were the most perfect Christmas gift I could have ever asked for. Santa delivered me everything I had ever wished for, a perfect baby girl to call my own. It was love at first sight. I could not get enough of you. You were the most tiny 5 lb., 11 ounce thing I had ever laid my eyes on. They say children born around the holidays have pointed ears like an elf. You were proof of that. Both your tiny ears pointed upwards in a point. I had to spend three days in the hospital after your crazy arrival, meaning your first Christmas was spent at the hospital. The staff made it as special as possible with a special dinner and decorating your baby cart with holiday decor. The nurses even made you up a stocking full of newborn goodies. All our relatives came to the hospital to meet you. Your Auntie Jojo bought you the most stunning red doll dress to wear. (You were so tiny! nothing fit right)You looked like a doll! Even today you are still the best Christmas gift that I have even received. I thank the heavens every day that you came into my life. I love you Bianca Rose.
