- This system looks complicated but in reality it's simple, and it works really well for my two kids to keep them motivated. Each routine chart counts for 50c a day, and each other job (each child has a pet to feed, a section of the dishwasher to unpack and a job in setting the table) gets 50c a day too. I only included these for weekdays since weekends are totally different, so they can potentially earn $6 a week, divided equally between spending and saving. I may swap out cleaning up the lounge and setting the table, since cleaning up their toys is one of our biggest issues!
