Journaling:
It is hard to believe, this August 31st marks 13 years of being retired! Way back when we first got married, our plan was for me to retire at 50. The reason being Mom had passed away at 54 and I did not want to work and not enjoy life. We worked hard for both of us to be able to retire in 2012 and while we planned it out, it was still scary and strange at first. It was wonderful not to go in to work everyday, but the hardest thing was to find a new routine. (The routine only took a few weeks to get used to <giggling>). We are very blessed and so glad we made our dreams come true, retiring when we wanted. I retired, 1 week before turning 51. I achieved my goal of retiring at 50!
